Phillips Brothers Wood Shavings wish all of our team, suppliers and of course, our customers a very Merry Christmas.
We had a very eventful 2015. We are delighted with the progress and development of the company throughout the year.
Our Horse Bedding product has been more popular than ever. The SoftShred bedding has been a great success as an economical alternative to wood shavings. And the introduction of Natural Flake manufactured shaving has added our product portfolio.
2015 saw us introduce our first charitable link with French’s Care Haven, a local horse santurary based in Hadleigh, where we provide horse bedding to support the charity and the positive work they do for horses in East Anglia.
Phillips Brothers also began sponsoring a star of the Eventing world, Jo Williams. Jo has also had a busy year competing on a weekly basis at prestigious Events such as Houghton and Brightling Park International. We wish her all the best for the Events already scheduled for 2016.
This year also saw us win the first, of hopefully many, Business Awards. We were delighted to be awarded with Family Business United’s Family Business of 2015 Award in the East Anglia region.
One of the true highlights of the year was being able to attend more County Shows, Conferences and Fayres. It was a real delight to ‘get out there’ and meet customers, people in the local community and even some of the animals that use our products.
Our new Delivery Van service has been a raving success with our customer base growing weekly. This service allows our customers to enjoy the advantages of smaller quantity deliveries without compromising on cost.
We are looking forward to continuing our growth and success in 2016 with exciting new additions including our new automated baling plant, to be installed in February. This will increase supply and improve on the quality in line with our ethos for continuous improvement.
